OPERATING STATIONS
In steel and in stainless steel (SST). Surface treatment with photosynthesis like briar, carbon, or others as desired.
Overall dimensions: 120 x 145 with flat base.
Connection (5 wires) goes out from bottom, with cable and concerned connector (50 cm). Only the first station is connected to the control unit, all others are connected in chain to the first one.

CONTROLS (soft-touch back-lighted)
COMMAND + KEY = get the control (or position)
TROL + KEY = activate and control the reversing gear clutch
NEUTRAL + KEY = put the reversing gear in neutral position, setting engine RPM to the minimum
SPEED + KEY = engage the direct drive or the overdrive
SYNCRO = synchronize the engine RPM
The “KEY” key is a safety key.

 

TYPICAL OPERATION
When the engine shut down all servomechanisms go to zero.
With the insertion of the starting key the system perform the self test. All the emplacements will emit an intermittent  BEEP and the “KEY” key will blink up until one of the stations will be placed with the levers in NEUTRAL position. From that moment on that will be the emplacement enabled to control of engines.
The control could then be required from another emplacement  by pressing keys
COMMAND + KEY.
If the new emplacement will not have lever physically placed in the same way as the last emplacement enabled, the new emplacement will emit an intermittent beep until its levers will not be placed in that position. From that moment on that will be the only emplacement enabled to engine control.
With the system operating, to indicate the sense of running inserted, on the operating stations not enabled a LED will light up in green or in red.
ACCELERATION IN NEUTRAL – keeping pressed the keys COMMAND + KEY move the accelerator lever to the desired position.  To enable the reversing gear the lever shall obligatory pass throug the NEUTRAL position.
TROLLING – By pressing the keys TROL + KEY engine RPM will remain as is, and using the lever it will be operated the trolling of the reversing gear, until a new pressure on above mentioned keys TROL + KEY.

CONTROL UNIT
It is typically placed in the engine room, near the engines.
It elaborates the information received from operating stations, giving them to the accelerators of the engines and to the reversing gears. It consist of a mother board (identical in all models), and by interchangeable interface boards, for the control of acceleration or running of engines and of reversing gears.
From the same mother board, with substitution of the interface alone, one can pilot:
- Mechanical actuators (see below)
- Devices with command signal like PWM
- Devices with command signal like
0/10 V.
- Devices with command signal like 4/20 mA
- Devices with command signal like ON/OFF
Practically, with this typology of signals it is possible to operate the whole types of engines available on market.

 

Particulars about  warning lights placed on control unit
Any operation in progress in the control unit is displayed by concerned LED.
The warnings are also buzzed by buzzers
On mother board there are also placed connectors for following optional:

Portable operating stations
Portable operating stations equipped with displays and whatever necessary for system set-up (setting)
Digital display for engine RPM and reversing gears positioning (remotable).
LCD display for engine functions  (remotable).
Vocal synthesizer for 16 messages or warnings (alarms) (remotable).
